Rebecca Weinberg Jones is the Deputy Director of Community Engagement Partners (an initiative of Education Cities). Prior to joining CEP, Becca was an Associate Partner at Education Cities where she led the organization’s programming/convening strategy, supported the organization’s advising services to its network members across the country, and authored the publication What Schools Want: How City Leaders Can Help or Hinder Great School Growth.
Before joining Education Cities, Becca was a Senior Program Manager at Mass Insight Education where she led the development of an AP College Success Community in Jefferson Parish, LA, supported districts and state departments to develop autonomous school zones, and authored a publication and toolkit titled Negotiating for Change: Modifying Collective Bargaining to Support School Turnaround.
Becca started her career in education directing the Vassar College Community Service Work Study Program and Vassar After School Tutoring Program in Poughkeepsie, NY.
Becca graduated from Vassar College with a Bachelor’s degree in Urban Studies and earned a Master’s degree in Urban Education Policy from Brown University. She lives in Boston with her husband, Bryant, and their dog, Max.
